Nancy Bonanno
Miss Nancy is owner and
artistic director of the dance center in Winchendon, MA. A
native of Buffalo, NY, she moved to Boston to major in dance
at the Boston Conservatory of Music. Her 20 years of
professional experience includes numerous television
specials, music videos and commercials filmed in New York
City, as well as performances in Boston as a member of
Impulse Dance Company. She has taught at The Boston
Conservatory of Music and many Boston-area dance schools.Nancy bought The Dance Center from Mona Rice in
1994. After 10 yrs. in Ashburnham, the studio outgrew its
small space, and moved to the next town of Winchendon. The
new studio houses 4 studios a large waiting room and
dancewear store. The studio celebrated its 15 yr,
anniversary in 2009. Nancy currently teaches jazz and
creative movement. Nancy lives in Fitchburg with her
husband, Frank and two children, her daughter Samantha, and
her son Joey. |

Dede Recko
Dede received a BFA in dance
from the Boston Conservatory of Music. She has owned and
operated her own studio in Shirley, MA. She is certified by
the Royal Academy of Dancing to enter students in ballet
examinations. She has been working at The Dance Center for
14 yrs. Dede writes and narrates and choreographs
delightful story ballets!

Joyce
Baldwin
Joyce is happy to be joining
the Dance Center for her second year. She comes to the area
from NYC where she was a professional musical theater
actress. Some of her credits include ´Velmaˇ in Scooby Doo,
Live! At Radio City Music hall, ´Olgaˇ in Petya at the Danny
Kaye Theater, ´Janˇ in both the National and European
original company of Grease! And Closer than Ever at Music
Theater Works. She has worked with such names as Frankie
Avalon, Chubby Checker, Eric Estrada, Dan Fogler, Mark
McKinnley and Judge Wopneer. Joyce holds a BFA in Musical
theater from the Shenendoah Conservatory of Music. She is
the founder of the Summer Seminar on the Performing Arts, a
music theater camp in upstate NY in it?s 14th year. She has
taught dance for many years at studio?s in NY, VA and NH.
She has studied with the late Al Gilbert, Mary Robare, Pam
Saxon, Tony Stevens and Nightmare Creations. In addition to
teaching dance, Joyce performs in regional theater and works
in radio on jingles and voice-overs. She currently lives in
NH with her husband James and brand new arrival, Baby
Bernadette. Joyce also has introduced hip-hop to the Dance
Center. She teaches 5 hip- hop classes. Students love the
class. She has extended the whole program. We are lucky to
have her at The Dance Center! |

Darlene Dickson
Darlene is the Mother of three
Boys. She has been teaching tap for 15 years. She has been
with the dancer center for 11 years. She has an Associates
Degree in Early Childhood Education. Darlene works for
Narragansett Regional School District as an ABA
paraprofessional. Darlene Choreographed shows for Theater at
the mount, Narragansett High School drama club, and New
Players theater guild |

Jennie Membrino-Nano
Jennie received her B.F.A in
dance from The University of The arts, Philadelphia College
of Performing Arts in 1999. She is the artistic Director and
founder of Jennie &Company, a modern dance company. Jennie
has taught Modern and Jazz at various dance studios
throughout the area, as well as choreographed several
musicals. She has been teaching at The Dance Center for over
10 years and hopes to continue for several more.

Jennifer Conlon
Miss Jen received her Bachelor
of Arts in Education from the University of Massachusetts
and her Masters in Education from Clark University. She has
been dancing at The Dance Center since age 5, and performed
choreographer duties for various school musicals over her
years of teaching in Fitchburg and Worcester. Jennifer has
been a staff member here at the dance center for 11 years. |

Debbie Falconer
Debbie received her formal
training in classical ballet, tap, and jazz at Michelle
Goodwin?s School of Dance in Townsend, MA. Further education
has included courses through dance Teacher?s Club of Boston
and numerous dance seminars and master classes throughout
the New England area. She began teaching at age 17 and has
taught at studios in Townsend, Pepperell, Gardner and
Fitchburg, MA. Debbie owned and operated Peterborough Dance
Academy in Peterborough, NH from 1993-1999. This is Debbie?s
5th year at The Dance Center.

Amanda Couturier
Amanda is currently a junior at
Fitchburg State College. Amanda has been dancing for 15
years, 13 of which were at The Dance Center. Here, she has
studied many different dance disciplines and was a part of
the competition team for 7 years. Amanda has been assistant
teaching and helping out with classes at The Dance Center
for many years as well. She also had the opportunity to
choreograph a few pieces, jointly and alone, during her
Senior year of high school. Her love of dance has pushed
her to participate in many different workshops, intensives,
and master classes, including The Boston Dance Company,
Jacobs Pillow, Trey McIntyre Project, Battleworks, USF
Modern Dance Programs, NYCDA, NEW, and many others. Amanda
has danced with and choreographed for Jennie&Company, Jennie
Membrino-Nano’s modern dance company. In 2009, Amanda
received the Young Choreographer’s Award at the American
Dance Awards in Lawrence, MA. Amanda’s passion is dancing
and she is excited to take on a new chapter in her life in
the studio where she grew up.
